From the second I set foot on the streets of this concrete empire I feel completely overwhelmed and overtaken by panic. Seas of people storm past you in overcrowded sidewalks, swallowing you in like quick sand, descriptive place. A skyline that is barely visible above towering buildings that close in over your head like ravenous beasts, the only way out a thousand feet away.


And when seen at night from an airplane, New York City has an uncanny resemblance to Mordor, which is both amusing and terrifying: wild, vicious and perhaps more alive once midnight has struck; its lights glowering like flames and embracing the cool and dark surfaces of skyscrapers crowned by ominous sharp spears. If I had to use just one word to describe this city, it would be —without a doubt— claustrophobic, descriptive place, descriptive place.


It surely evokes a sense of imprisonment, always being confined to an area of no more than 2×2 square feet —personal space being a completely foreign concept— the anxiety as you try to push through throngs of people, desperately trying to find some air and finally be able to breathe —oxygen only existing in Central park.
